Organizing Cheaply

Hello!

So often I hear people say they want a beautifully organized kitchen or home, but they don't have the money.

Here is a solution to get your kitchen or anywhere else in your home beautifully organized without spending a lot of money, AND adding a lot of character!

Simply take boxes from things that you already buy anyway, and re-purpose them as storage when they are empty.  So simple!  You might say, but that's not cute.

Is your disorganized area that has no structure or a home for the little things cute?

Using boxes from what you are already buying anyway has many uses.  One it can be a place holder until you do have the time or money to go buy the matching containers that you really want.  Yay!  The other benefit from organizing with boxes first, is that you will be much more clear on what size/how many containers you do need.

And if you don't want to spend money, what you can do is find some beautiful wrapping paper, contact paper or even wall paper - decorative paper that you love - and cover all of the boxes.  Including the ones that you won't normally see.  I love this, because it's so unique and adds so much character.

Why cover the boxes you won't normally see?  Because it really raises the joy factor.  Its kind of like making a new discovery, when you open the cabinet.  I love it, and I know you will too!

Sending love,
Jessica

Hello, how are you?

Truly I would love to hear from you, and know how you are doing during this chaotic time.  I wish everyone good health, and tranquility.

During a time of crisis, our patterns are magnified.  If we had patterns that were not helpful, but things were good enough, BAM! they hit us in the face during a crisis.  If we had habits that were not serving us, and were aware of them.  Now that is going to be really tough to confront.  And if you had habits that were working for you, and now you see just how grateful you are for those habits good for you!

Personally I believe the BEST habit, is the habit of re-evaluating, or eagerness to learn a better way.  Even if things are going good, there is still something to learn.

For those of you that are confronted with the habits that we not serving you.  Are you able to recognize them?  Or are you simply in a panic and don't know what to do?

If you are able to recognize some habits that were not serving you; or maybe could simply be better, write them down!  I'm going to provide an excellent practice.

First write down the habits that you now recognize don't work for you.  If you are not sure where to start, start by writing down how you wish things were right now.

Now that you have a couple habits written down,
do you notice any patterns?  Is it associated with feeling stressed?  Associated with a certain person?  When you are feeling hungry?  Or a certain emotional state? Maybe you recognize this pattern shows up at a certain time of day?  Maybe there is a specific thought that always shows up?

Jot down anything that is associated with the habit.

Now that you have your habit and the things associated with it, you should be able to see your pattern even more clearly.  I call these triggers.

Now that you have your triggers in plain sight, create an action plan for each trigger.  This will require increased awareness.  Your action plan could range from a simple question, a couple deep breaths, or maybe something much more elaborate.  Maybe recognizing that you need help from a friend or a professional?  The solutions are endless, and will be very unique to each person, but I'll list some ideas below.

Some Ideas:
When you get paid set aside some money for things you know you will need as well as a curve ball.

If you invest, but sometimes make impulsive decisions.  Dedicate a certain amount of money, have a plan for when you reach certain markers.  Recognize what makes you impulsive?  Is it excitement or fear?  Dedicate a particular time of day that is more calming to handle investments.

Do grocery shopping after you ate.  Have a grocery list.

When going clothes shopping leave your credit cards at home, and only bring cash.  Decide ahead of time what you are looking for AND how much you will pay for each item.

Do a 2 minute meditation before making any money decisions.

Do more research before making any decisions.

If you purchased an item, place it at the front door, for three days before using it.  Doing this will be annoying, and if you recognize that you don't actually need it after the three days, return it.

Create a budget for each category of spending.

Eliminate sugar.  It will be very hard for about a month.  But after a month you'll have no cravings.  You will be shocked how much cravings drive unnecessary money decisions.  Especially if you have a tendency to make impulsive decisions.  Eating a high fat, no sugar, LOTS of vegetables diet will balance out emotions and help you make more clear calm decisions.

Create a list of simple & free things that make you happy.  And do things from this list often.  Re-aligning to happiness also helps us to make more clear & calm decisions.

Change your language.  Specifically remove the word "need" from your vocabulary.  You do not "need" most things.  You might REALLY want something, but more than likely you do not need it.

If you created a list of your habits, and the patterns that relate to it, but are finding it hard to create an action plan, it could be the case that the habit runs much deeper than simply deciding to change.  That is where a money coach will come in handy!  Please reach out to me, I would love to come up with a personalize action plan that you are happy with during this stressful time.

Sending peace,

Hello!

I do apologize,  its hard for me to think of anything else except this pandemic we are all experiencing together.

While most of us are at home a lot more, some are fortunate enough to have their jobs still.  We are all at home, in one place with more time on our hands.  This is the perfect time to re-evaluate what is working for you and what is not.  Including in society at large.  While you may not be able to change policies or other's opinions, you can look at where you stand on many issues, and re-asses if holding that opinion will bring about the future that you do want.

So what do you want?  Take our a journal, or go for a walk and day dream, do a vision board...

Who is the best version of you?
How does she behave at home?
What do you eat?
How do you feel?
What is your exercise routine?

What is your morning routine?
What is your bedtime routine?

Do you love your neighborhood?
How would you like to change it?

Do you love every single area in your home?  Including the outdoor space?
What can you do to make it better?

How is your health?
What can you do to improve it?

What habits do you have that you would like to upgrade?

How are your relationships?
How would you like to change those?

And so on....
Right now is the perfect opportunity to re-assess everything, and make the changes that you can make right now, especially those around the home.

Join one of my free classes, or an initial consultation, check out the contact page to see what interests you; to get the shifts that you are ready for in your life!

Presence with the Heart

Hello!

We are in stressful times at the moment.  It seems like all anybody can talk about is how this pandemic is affecting us.  Its affecting every single one of us.  On one had that is so interesting that every single person in the world is faced with the same pandemic.  Yes, it is affecting all of us differently.  Some with tragedy, my heart goes out to you; some with incredible uncertainty; some with opportunity; some with a lot of strain; and most likely all of us will be bouncing around between all of these, maybe even in the course of one day!

I would like to share what has been coming up for me.  Personally while I am overall optimistic for society at large, I can see that all of us including myself have a rough path ahead.  I can feel my spiritual connection getting stronger by the day, as if I don't have a choice.  I am an empath, so it has been quite confusing some days, where I feel grief or rage out of nowhere, and then I'll snap out of it.  I understand what is going on with myself now, and so when I am feeling a feeling that doesn't line up with how my day went, I meditate, and as I do this I know that I am healing the collective.
I have also begun channeling.  This is very intense for me.  And I can feel that I am being made into something greater.  The past two days I turned off my phone and did not listen to any new content.  I usually listen to podcasts, authors, something to help me grow, to teach me new tools so that I can be an even better coach.  I generally pursue growth, and do inner work every day.  But this loud calling or inspiration to be in silence was new for me, I did have some resistance to it at first.  But I noticed that I felt a lot of peace during the day.

As this pandemic has been pretty intense for me, I have not felt the inspiration to come here and write, lately.

I have also been taking everything one day at a time, or even one moment at a time.  My luxury of planning for the future has gone away, and in a way I am grateful.  I love planning, but it also increases my stress level quite a bit.  And so I am forced to be extremely present.  Something I have been practicing for quite a while, but would often get distracted.

We are all in this together, I am here to support you with a free coaching call even if I haven't met you.  Please reach out to others, ask for help if you need it, or offer help if it feels right.  Now more than ever I think we have to turn inward and take action guided by our hearts.  And when you listen to your heart, sometimes you might be surprised with what direction it sends you.

Sending love
Jessica
