Presence: A Powerful Tool

Hello!

How do you deal with all that's going on in this crazy time?  There is so much uncertainty from every direction right now.  Prayers to those that are suffering or are in fear of family members or themselves suffering.

For everyone all we really can do is be truly present to each moment.  We are all doing our best, some of us are more conscious of our intentionally being our best than others.  But if you are one of the ones, that recognizes you are being more patient, compassionate or conscious than some people around you, then you are a leader, and its your responsibility to show others by example a better way to be.  Not telling them, thought I know you might want to!

In this time I can feel that I am physically forced to be totally present.  And so that is the work.  If you are going though pain right now, I am so sorry.  My heart goes out to you.  And this is the best time to go into that pain, and feel it as deeply as you can.  If you are feeling fear right now, I completely understand.  Get yourself somewhere safe, and then feel the fear, go into it.  If you are feeling excited right now, because you can see what opportunity and potential awaits us all.  We all you need you to go even deeper into that excitement.  Envision how great everything has become because of the struggle.

We are all in need of love and compassion right now.  You are right for however you feel right now.  If you are suffering and all you can do is cry, do that.  Let it out.  And if you are overflowing with love and compassion, send out your love.  On some level, we will all be able to receive that healing love.

Presence ultimately is love.  Its saying where you are right now is perfect, it doesn't need to change.  I know being totally present is not an easy task.  It takes practice.  I am very intentional about practicing being present, and I need to practice a lot more.  We all do.

Some things that help me to re-center and become present again are:
Meditation
The breath, breath work is amazing.
A song that I love
A cute pet
Water, like a bath or shower
Ect.

Its easier to be present when things are good.  But its SO much more important to be present when things are bad.

No matter where you are, and you might be jumping all over the place, you can contact me, and I can hold space for you.  I can be present to what you have going on.  E-mail me at creativelyjessica@gmail.com to set up a free consultation.  We will establish some practices and resources for you to become more present, and build your emotional tool box, or maybe practical tool box to help get you through this challenging time.

Sending love,
Jessica

Noticing the Good

Caption for photo:  Here is my good for the day.  I went on a gorgeous hike.  With everything closed, I went for a two hour hike, I have no urgency to get things done, there is nothing I can do!  It was liberating to recognize this.  My "to do" list has been yanked out of my hands.  The result, I spend more time in nature.

Hello Healthy Friends!

Some of you may know that I am also a flight attendant.  I love doing coaching, organizing, and flying.  I am so grateful I have crafted my perfect life, and continuing  to fine tune.

Because I am a flight attendant, I am getting to see how uniform this experience of the coronavirus is across the country.  It's incredible that right now with this pandemic of the coronavirus, the entire US is going through the same exact thing.  It doesn't matter what grocery store, what city, which airport, they are all equally vacant, everyone has masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer around every corner.  And uniformly maintaining the 6 feet of social distancing.  I've never seen this before, where the entire country is experiencing the same thing.  Its incredible, in a way.  Its a wonderfully unifying thing to recognize the hardship, the fears, and challenges that you are going through right now, every other person in the US is also going through the same thing.

While of course I would choose a different reality right now.  I just feel so much love for the US, that we are all experiencing the same thing.  Its just so unique.  And what is truly wonderful, is how much people care.  The level of compassion in public has generally gone up.  If things get worse, we will see where that goes.  This could trigger incredible amounts of fear, and bring out some prickly sides of people.

Another beautiful thing is that everyone is checking in on everyone else.  This chaos has brought us closer together in a way.

So just like anything else, there is ALWAYS good and bad in every situation.  Let's tally up the good!

What good things have you recognized?  Or can you come up with right now?  Are you getting time to rest?  To Reconnect with friends or family?  The hiking trails have been packed lately, are you able to get out into nature?  Are you getting to projects that you haven't been able to do in years?

Also with so many people at home subject to quarantine, this is a perfect time to meditate or do some inner work.  People often tell me they don't know how to meditate.  There are millions of guided meditations on youtube, try one out, and see if you like it, then start collecting the ones you like in a playlist.  If you would like specific guidance on this please reach out to me; schedule a call, or send an e-mail.  We can come up with a framework for meditation or inner work that suits you.

I am here to support you.
Love, Jessica

Invest in Your Future

Hello!

When we think of investing, normally it's a place that we put our money with the intention of it multiplying.  And that is fantastic.  I wish for all of our money to multiply.  And generally multiplication in this sense is something  very good.  But what if you took a step back, and saw every single dollar you spend as an investment.  How would you use it differently?

Would you go to a more expensive coffee shop, because you know that good people work there, because you know their coffee is higher quality and more ethical?  Would you choose to hire someone, that would make your day a lot easier?  A tutor for your child, therapy for yourself, a house cleaner, a coach?  Would you choose to have friends over to eat a high quality meal, instead of all going out to eat?  Would you choose to live in a different city?  Maybe for health or happiness reasons?  The list goes on and on.  Seriously, I dare you to spend one entire day, every single dollar you spend, see it as an investment.  Do you change anything?

Go a step further and remove the word "spend" from your vocabulary.  Say "I invested some money at the grocery store today."  Or "I circulated money with the mechanics today."  What changed?  try to notice the nuance, or maybe even massive shift in your energy, or even increased abundance.

Donating money to charity, or to a person or cause you believe in is in general a wonderful thing to do.  I think most people believe that.  It's also a fantastic abundance practice.  What if you saw that as an investment too?  What if you saw donating to charity as an investment in the society that you want to see?  That takes on a very different perspective.  Personally I donate to the Pachamama Alliance.  I think they are doing incredible work, and the environment is something that I am very passionate about.  What do you believe in?  What do you want to see more of?  How do you envision the future?

Many mentors have said that donating (specifically 10%) is a necessary abundance practice.  Donate what you can.  If 10% is too much, just do $5 or $20 a month.  Anything is better than nothing.   If you do begin to donate money, notice how your perspective changes?  Look at that, you have money to spare.  You have enough money to contribute towards a future you want to see.  You have enough money to influence the world.  And should things ever get tight, you can cancel that donation for a month and use that money.  Wow, back up money!

I dare you to find a cause you care about and donate what you can, OR increase your amount that you are already donating.  Some interesting stuff will happen.  You'll feel great about yourself, and somehow more money will show up to cover the amount you are donating.  Maybe not right away, but eventually it will.  While I can't make any promises, I say this with total confidence from my own experience.

Prosperity for all,
Jessica

Take that Flu! Soup

Hello!  Wishing you all healthy and vibrant!

I am reposting this so that this powerful soup can be more available to those that want to build up their immune system with nutrition.  One way to fight this virus.  I make this soup often.  As I eat it, I can feel it killing whatever was coming on.  It's SO easy, and tastes delicious.

This soup is simply:
Chicken Broth - I use chicken bone broth, because of the collagen boosting properties it has, but feel free to substitute vegetable broth or whatever broth suits you.
Spinach - I use frozen spinach because of the convenience of always having veggies handy in the freezer.
Mushrooms
Celery
Garlic  - Load on the garlic!!!!!

Season to taste - Of course I use salt and pepper, a little oregano tastes great too.
Olive Oil - I add the olive oil after the soup is cooked.

I put it all in a blender before cooking it, then cook it after it's all blended.  This soup takes about 5 minutes to make, so when you are very weak from being sick, this soup takes very little effort.   And it costs roughly $5, make it cheaper by diluting the broth with water.   Originally I began making this soup to heal my gut, and it works fantastic for that, but when I noticed it also boosted my immune  system, this inspired me to share it with you.

I use organic everything, I believe that makes a difference.  I find this soup is very healing, and hydrating. Modify by adding whatever vegetables you want!

Stay healthy,
Jessica

Fear = How Much you Care.  Take Action

3/14/2020

Hello Healthy people!

Yesterday was the day the president announce a state of emergency for the US.  I think this is a good thing because it frees up resources for those who need it.  Compared to needing approval because its not in the budget.

No doubt this coronavirus is a nasty thing.  But we are not helpless victims.  If you are experiencing fear around this virus, you have reason to feel that way.  BUT please recognize that your fear,  the level of fear, is how much you care about your health.  SO now that you see how important your health is, it is your responsibility to take action.  Please do something to upgrade your health.  This will help everyone.  It will make you less susceptible and more able to help those around you.  It will also free up resources for those that do truly need help.

This virus is a call to action for you to be your best self.  And what does health have to do with money?  For one if you or a loved one have health issues that is a giant leak in your abundance.  And when you have health issues, its hard to work or even enjoy the abundance you do have.  Please stop sacrificing your health for wealth.  Sorry the pun was way too easy, I couldn't resist!

But seriously!  Good health is the foundation of true happiness and abundance.  Prioritize it!

Here are some ideas to increase your health.  And if you are the primary cook, or care taker of your home, or family, then you have an EVEN BIGGER influence, and responsibility to make these changes.

1. Increase your fruits and vegetables.  Our plate should be half vegetables.  But that may be too big of a jump for some, so simply increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables is a good next step.  Then eventually increase the vegetables even more.

2. Increase how much water you drink!  This is the single biggest improvement you can do for your health.  Download a free water tracking app, to track your water, this will help a lot.  I bet you that you are not drinking enough water.  I was SURE I was, until I tried an app to measure, and nope!  I was short 10-20 ounces of water per day.  I was chronically dehydrated!  And I am considered a super healthy person!

3.  Get outside.  Fresh air and sunlight are so important for us, and none of us get enough sunlight.  Take a break, and go for a loop around your block, instead of sitting down and watching tv in your house.  Choose to work out outside.  Eat lunch outside.  My favorite thing to do is to make my coffee, and go for a walk.  I love strolling with no agenda, and while I am enjoying my coffee I have no agenda.  And my coffee tastes even more delicious, with the hot sip compared to the crisp morning. I love it.  Try it, I think you'll enjoy it too.
You could even take some work outside, or make going for walks with your friends an event instead of going to the movies, or a bar.  If you are a boss, you could hold meetings outside...  There are endless idea, you get the point :)

4.  Buy higher quality
In the short term this can be more expensive.  But in the long term you'll have lower health bills.  Though very hard to measure.  Generally organic, grass fed, free range, non gmo... are more expensive.  But there are things you could do to offset the cost.  Buy your groceries at a farmers market, what is in season, or grow your own herbs!  What you would buy in one shopping trip to season a dish, is how much the herbs will cost to purchase to grow at home.  And right now is the time to plant!
If you have an herb garden at home, you know it will be organic because you are taking care of it, and because of how convenient it is to have the herbs right there, you'll use them more.  Increase the flavor, increase your health!

5.  Cut the sugar.
I know this one is very hard.  At first it will take sheer determination.  But if you simply do your best to eat less and less sugar, you will notice an improvement.  What helped me with this was making sure I was drinking a ton of water (full hydration fights all cravings!) and making sure I was eating enough fat in my meals.  I used to have anorexic tendencies, so fat used to by the one thing I avoided at all costs, but I had it wrong.  Fat, good fat, like avocado, coconu, olive oil, grass fed butter, do so many really good things for us, like keeping the cravings away, and the pounds off.

6.  Increase good fat.
As stated above good fats are avocado and avocado oil, MCT and coconut oil, grass fed organic butter and organic olive oil.
The next logical suggestion :)  Good fats are so beneficial for our bodies.  Now that eating fat is a priority in my meals, I have no cravings, and way better stamina, and when I am getting hungry, is way more relaxed.  Instead of BAM! I am starving RIGHT NOW.  Get me food right now, or I will eat you!  Inhale and whole pizza, and three full dinner orders.  No joke.  People were always shocked at how much I would eat.   Now when I am getting hungry, its like "oh, I think I should probably eat soon"  knowing I will be fine for another two hours.  I love it.
Check out Dave Aspery, Naomi Whittle or Dr. Steven Gundry to learn more, they talk a lot about good fats.

7.  Cut the carbs.
Most people are allergic to gluten.  Bold statement I know.  And the only way to truly know if you are allergic to gluten is to 100% cut it out of your life for 6 months.  Yes that is extreme, but the gluten particles can continue to affect you long after you have had your last bite.  For most people cutting gluten 100% for at least a month should give you what you need to know.  After the 30 days  eat whatever you want, if you eat gluten, if you have any reaction at all then you know you are allergic to it.  The reactions could include a headache, bad mood, lethargic, congestion, achy joints, skin breakouts, stomach pain, constipation.  And sometimes it doesn't happen immediately, sometimes the reaction could happen a day or two later.

8.  Cut the dairy.
Same process as above.  I became allergic to dairy at 16, gluten at 25, then sugar at 35.  When I cut out sugar and gluten 100% I can actually handle a little bit of dairy.  So I do think we have variations in how much we can tolerate.

9. Cut out lectins.
What are lectins?  Things like tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers... All the most typical vegetables.  Look into the work of Dr. Steven Gundry.  Following his cook book saved me.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=the+plant+paradox+steven+gundry&crid=3QMMA7TDSV0SS&sprefix=the+plant%2Caps%2C153&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_9

No I am not paid by him, he does not even know who I am.  But his cook books, are such as easy way to increase your health.

10.  Rest and meditate
Both are super important.  I meditate everyday, but I call it sleepitating.  I almost always fall asleep when I meditate, so why not lay down, and truly let your body get what it wants.  There are millions of guided meditations on youtube, meditation apps, like calm, insight timer, headspace...  It can even be as little as 2 minutes.  Commitment is the only requirement.

11.  Now on to the more wooo woo or esoteric ideas.  Essential oils, spray lemon around your house, this will increase the vibration in the home, help us with vitamin c, and just make our house smell good.  Who isn't happier in a nice smelling environment?

12.  Slice Onion or Garlic and simply leave it on a plate raw, in the room.  I learned this from Barbara O'Neil.  WOW she is incredible.  This will absorb whatever bad stuff is floating around, and just by smelling it, will help you in beneficial ways, and this is mild enough for babies.  Its also a very passive way to make everyone a little more healthy in that environment.

13.  Prioritize your happiness.  In what ways can you choose more often what would nourish you?  Yes, I am saying to be selfish.  This culture praises people that live their lives for someone else.  We have to stop.

14.  Stop complaining.  It kind of seems like a contradiction to the one above, but its not.  If something is bad enough to complain about, take action to change it.  In the long run this will improve you energy and your life so much.  But you just have to try it to find out.

Turn it around, to saying what you do want, not what you don't.

15.  Figure out what you are allergic to.  A lot of us are consuming things that we are allergic to.  This causes an unnecessary inflammation response.  The truth may be inconvenient.  But only when you figure it out, can you come up with solutions.

There are so many other things.  Simply look at your life, and once a week, pick a new health upgrade, or experiment.

Take responsibility, make the world a better place, by making yourself better.

Wishing you health, happiness and prosperity.

Delicious and under 20 minutes & $10

Hello!

For those of you that have health goals, or want to enjoy a delicious meal, for a reasonable price here's a new recipe!

*This salad will only be this cheap if you already regularly use these things.  Of course it will become more expensive if you buy higher quality ingredients too.  But its restaurant quality delicious!

First I cook the shrimp in garlic and salt.  I like the wild frozen shrimp from trader joe's, simply because of how convenient it is to keep frozen shrimp in my freezer.  If you are vegan leave this part out, or add tempeh or tofu.  Once the shrimp is cooked, I leave in off in the pan, and simply add it to the top when finished with everything.

Half shredded cabbage and half parsley & cilantro.  I use the shredded cabbage mix from trader joe's, and fresh parsley and cilantro.  Can you tell I love trader joe's?

Walnuts
Black sesame seeds  - I put a lot.
A whole  Avocado - I love avocado, I think they are the best.

The dressing is Mayonnaise, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and a little honey.  I actually don't measure it, I make the dressing to taste.  But its roughly one tablespoon (or as I would say a big spoon) of mayonnaise, two tablespoons of rice vinegar and sesame oil, and a baby spoon (or a cappuccino spoon) of honey.  I modify to taste, so it never turns out exactly the same, so be sure to test it before serving!

I don't cook by measurements, even when I'm following a recipe, but there it is!  This salad is delicious, and so high in fat it can be its own meal!  This salad is keto, mostly plant paradox friendly, and very easily vegan.  To make it plant paradox friendly, you'd have to make your own mayo only with olive oil, and to make it vegan, you can buy a vegan mayo, I think it's called vegenese.  OR!  You could blend olive oil, along with pine nuts, cilantro, sesame oil, rice vinegar and avocado, if  I did this, I would also add a touch of tamari or soy sauce.  The avocado and the pine nuts would give it that thick mayo consistency.

This meal would be MUCH cheaper than going out to a restaurant, and I think most kids would like it, since it's a little sweet.

Enjoy better health while saving those dollars!

Help!  How do I get my child to clean their room?!

3/9/2020

Hello, Parents, Guardians, and Care Takers!

I know how frustrating the battle of trying to get your child to clean up their room can be.  Depending on how resistant the child may be you may have to break it down even more.  But I'd like to share what has worked for me.

Some awesome tools anytime a child is resistant (or even for yourself) to anything is to set a timer.  Lets say your child's room is a disaster, the bed is not made, you didn't even know they had this much toys and you can barely see the floor underneath, and that pile of clothes, well you are really not sure, but you're betting its dirty.  And you try so hard to get them to put dirty clothes in the hamper!?!

Depending on the age, how messy their room is, and their resistance, using a timer is a fantastic tool.  If they are super resistant, it may be a good idea to help them.  If you do help them, I'd make it a "race" to see who can pick up the most things, or let them be the "boss" and let them tell you what they want help with.  DO NOT do anything on your own or for them, this will just teach them that if they act helpless, or act out enough that they don't really have to do it.

If you really have no idea how long it might take, or not clear on their resistance level, I'd start at 10 minutes for ages 6-8; younger, 5 minutes, and older I'd start with 20 minutes.  Put the timer somewhere that they can see it count down, and then set a goal.  For example "Lets see if we can get this floor 100% clean before the timer goes off!"

Then when the timer goes off or you get the floor clean celebrate, give them a high five, let them pick a fun game to play with you, or even take a picture of them showing off their clean room.   The celebration part is important, you want them to recognize their own success, and be in that moment with them of feeling proud.

Then to truly improve their habits, each time they change activities make sure they clean up what they are now finished with, you can set a timer for 5 minutes, or just make sure they put it all away.  Again this depends on how big the mess is and their resistance level.  Or maybe at bed time, right before reading stories, now you/they spend 5 minutes tidying up their room.  Just make it a new daily habit, however it works best for you.

I do this for myself too, right before getting ready for bed, I spend 10 minutes tidying up my home, however it may be, filing away some papers, finishing up something I was working on earlier in the day, finishing up dishes that I didn't have a chance to finish earlier...  If I'm that on top of everything that day, I will spend those 10 minutes doing something to prepare myself for the next day.

Make this a consistent habit, and you will see an improvement; There will be less struggles, and more happiness and hugs!

With love, Jessica

Do you Want More Money?

3/3/2020

Hello Abundant and Expanding Friends!

Do you want more money?  I think most of us would say yes.  And then the next question is so how do I get it?

Well, there are plenty of road maps that have a step by step action plan to follow.  Money Coaching takes a different approach to increasing your abundance.  There are plenty of resources that offer a step by step guide.  But I believe money is much more personal than a step by step guide, and there is no one size fits all map.

Start off by answering these questions:

What is a lot of money to you?

What is abundance to you?

Is a lot of money and abundance the same thing?

What is fulfillment?

What creates happiness?

Can you be rich and still experience lack?

Can you not have very much money and still experience abundance?

What is more important: a lot of money or true happiness?  A lot of money or true health?  Total vibrant health or true happiness?

If you were doing small daily things that were causing you to lose money, and were not aware, would you want to change that?

If you changed some small daily habits that caused you to receive even more money than you could imagine; would you want to make the changes? Even if it was hard or painful?

Look at all of these questions, if you ask every person you knew these questions, you would be shocked at how different the answers were.  And is any person wrong?  Nope.  Yet, at the same time, if you want a different reality than what you currently have you have got to make some changes.  The biggest changes will come through addressing what you are not aware of.

Someone might say "If I knew what I was doing wrong I would change it!"  And that is exactly why hiring a coach is crucial.

I have worked with people that very clearly make a lot more money than me, but holy cow, it is so obvious that I enjoy more abundance and fulfillment than them.  And the opposite is also true.  I have also worked with people that very clearly make less money than I do, and I want to be like them.  I want to enjoy the state of happiness, bliss, abundance and fulfillment that they enjoy.

So while we all want an easy step by step guide to more money.  Its not that cut and dry.  While you might find or even already have a step by step guide to making more money, if you are not addressing the subconscious leaks, blocks, patterns, and habits, it will only be a short while before you are back to square one.

For this exact reason, I love to dissect our habits, patterns, language, energy, the origin of any emotion, ect...

When resistance shows up, as a block, obstacle, or leak, I love it.  Now; it wasn't always the case.  Now when resistance shows up, it is my opportunity to get to the root, and heal that thing.  The result from this (sometimes painful work) is more money, happiness, ease, fulfillment, improved health, and abundance!

If you are interested in making real, lasting change, schedule a free 1 hour consultation to learn more about money coaching.  Head over to the contact page, or send me an e-mail at Creativelyjessica@gmail.com.

Sending you love and abundance,
Jessica

Smoothies! A trick to sneak in more veggies!

3/2/2020

Hello!

Have you ever felt frustrated with the idea of trying to get your kids to eat more fruits and veggies?  I know it can be tough with kids, they decide they don't like something, and even though they've never tried it now they get sick at the sight of it... interesting?  I know I've taken care of many kids that are like that.  And I was the worst when I was a kid myself!

But I've never met a kid that didn't like smoothies.  Smoothies can be a fantastic way to sneak in some extra veggies, or it could even be a fun activity to do together.  From my experience its really fun to let kids take ownership, and let them pick which recipes they would like to make for you.  You could even make a chart and record which ones they liked the most, trying a new one each day.  Because I'm not so familiar with how to make a smoothie equally healthful as delicious I like to follow a recipe.  Currently I am following the recipe book that come when you buy the Nutri Ninja, but you can also look up different recipes online or turn to many other books.  A book that I really like and will be borrowing from my mom is Supperfood Smooties by Julie Morris.  Her recipes look very interesting, and its a beautiful book sure to entice anybody into wanting a delicious and healthy smoothie.

While I am a novice when it comes to incorporating veggies into a smoothie,  I do know that adding green peas are a great source of protein and won't take away from the typical sweet taste of a smoothie.  And adding one or two leaves of kale will go unnoticed, except for the color to boost the nutritional intake.

May you enjoy as many colorful smoothies equal to the colorful spring flowers!

Looking to improve the energy in your space?

3/1/2020

Hello!

Energy is a very vague yet growing in popularity word that most of us throw around.   Other interchangeable words we use are vibe, it just feels good, the feeling, chi, presence, attention...  And some of us use the word "energy" but mean different things.

But if you are looking to improve the energy (or pick your word :) of your space here are a couple ideas that I believe are powerful tools and use in my own home:

1.  Simply cleaning, you don't even have to move things around or create a home for each thing, just simple cleaning will immediately improve the energy.    Personally when I clean, once I get going... I feel immense love for my self, and immediate satisfaction, cleaning something, anything, leads to an immediate sense of accomplishment.

2. Organizing, lol, I had to sorry.  Organizing and cleaning go hand in hand.  We often do both when we are cleaning OR organize.  But once you have established a home or system to anything in your space, be it home, office, car, or purse! It just feels so much better.  For me it was my jewelry.  I am the outlier, I love organizing, I love establishing a system, and infusing my personality into weird hidden details, but I can only wish that you experience the amount of self love I felt when I was organizing my jewelry.

3. Plants!  People that know me know how much I love plants.  But plants do a ton for us.  For one plants produce oxygen and naturally purify the air, check out the many pintrest posts, about the top 10 plants to purity your bedroom air quality.  But its true, plants take in carbon dioxide (what we breath out), sunlight and water, and give off oxygen.  Plus, they are naturally beautiful and sculptural in nature, and they automatically bring color into your home, though it is possible to find a beige plant ;)  Also on an energetic level plants are a living being too, so they naturally contribute to the energy in your space.  Sean Stevenson, even quotes in his book, "Sleep Smarter", that plants actually improve the quality of your sleep!  And you can pick one that suits your taste, budget and thumb.  Though I love all plants, the cheapest and lowest maintenance are bamboo, pothos plants, and succulents.   All are hearty and can go a while without attention.

4.  A salt lamp.  Though I don't have any proof that this works, I believe it does have a lot of power.  I began using salt in my home to clean the energy because of Feng Shui.  In one of the books, it said that having rock salt in water in a bowl collects the negative energy.  I am one to experiment.  Though at the time I was not as energetically sensitive as I am now, I liked it, though I wasn't able to tell if it was actually working or not.  This new knowledge led me to buy a salt lamp which I absolutely love, in addition the energetic cleansing qualities, but also the soft warm glow at night is so nice, and would work really great as a night light for kids, or anybody else that would like one.  The reason I believe it does actually work is because salt just like the salty ocean, has ions that attach to negative energy, plus there is naturally a little humidity in the air, so I think the salt attaches to the moisture and makes the air a little easier to breath.

5.  Change.  Changing something around will naturally change up the energy in a space, and this is always a good thing.  Just like when we exercise we feel a little bit better... because we got things (energy) moving.

6.  Light.  A lot of natural light will make your place feel better.  Open up your windows, feel the warm sun, its guaranteed to lift your spirits.  But if you are in a space that doesn't get much natural light, some things you could do to improve the space, is to bring in more plants, choose plants that don't need a lot of natural light.  I have seen bamboo do just fine in a room that never got natural light.  Bring in mirrors, to bounce what little natural light you do get.  You may also like to bring in a UV light, personally I would create an arrangement, using the UV light, plants and mirrors, to give the space some depth, and a point of interest.  And the most obvious would be to turn on the lights, lights that point upward create the most brightness in a room.  Personally I feel a lot better in a well lit room.

7.  Bring in some color!  There are many articles about color therapy, if interested I'd suggest to look into in, but I know first hand color can change your life.  I had depression, which I've mentioned in my bio, and painted my room this almost neon bright cantaloupe orange.  It was not possible to feel sad in that room, and everyone in the family naturally gravitated towards my room.  I have always loved orange and ever since 15 when I painted my room, the color orange will forever hold a special place in my heart.  But pick a color that suits you!

8.  Energy in a space could also be compared to points of interest.  Where your attention naturally bounces around in a room, is also how energy flows in a room.  Generally in a piece of art, which I see rooms as a piece of art, that personifies you, there are three main points of interest.  Its generally different things, like the the color, the main subject is slightly off center and there is something interesting in the distance.  In your space you can also think of it like that.  So pick 1-3 areas that you naturally gravitate towards, then spruce up those areas.  I love to focus on a tiny niche area.  I think small spaces lend them selves very nicely to creating a vignette.  Keep in mind that it could be an area that every time you walk into that space its the first thing you see and you hate it.  Any strong emotion is a good indication that a lot of energy is going to that space.  I realize this is quite vague when not looking at the same thing together, so if you are unsure, ask someone who you think has great taste, or hire an organizer :) an interior designer, or a feng shui consultant - the true expert when it comes to energy.

9.  Lastly Love.  Having things that you love in your space greatly impacts the energy or vibe in your space.  I love the book "The Magic of Tidying Up" by Mari Kondo, because she wrote so perfectly what I believe.  But she took it a step further by drawing pictures, and teaching you hold to fold!  Which I follow now, and love it!  Our time is precious and we deserve to experience love in every moment, if you don't love it, then it would do better somewhere else.
