Best Nights Rest

10/20/2022

We all "know" sleep is important....  SO many of us struggle with sleep.  Me included!

My mom always joked that I was like the princess and the pea, that even though she had 9 mattresses of padding she could still feel the pea at the bottom.  Although as a child I didn't like how my mom would tell me I was so high maintenance all the time.  Its true, and now I take full ownership of it.

I need the room to be cold, have a fan going, white noise, be fully hydrated, have gotten sun during the day, and exercise out doors, have moved my life forward in some way that matters to me that day, be happy about my life direction, prayed, be sleeping/waking at a fairly consistent time.... lol.  Anybody else???

My list of what I need to sleep well is pretty long, and not very negotiable.  I know I am high maintenance...  But lately I have been on a good sleeping streak.  I am SO grateful for this!

My most recent sleep upgrade that I decided to try was an organic mattress and organic sheets.  I love these sheets!  They are so soft.  I just ordered my second pair from the same company because I loved them that much.  And I thought the price was a competitive price.

Check out California Design Den for really delicious sheets.  I hope it helps you sleep better too!
 https://www.californiadesignden.com?sca_ref=2748652.XHavc9q6Ds

I got the 600 thread count.  Very happy with this product.  And yes I am high maintenance about the products I consume.  Going to the next level with my bedding is something I am happy about that I believe contributes to my overall health, though I would probably never be able to prove it.

Then!  At check out, I decided to type in "discount to California..." and to my surprise discount codes did come up.  I have heard about this, but it was the first time I tried.  I enjoyed an extra 10% off just for doing a search.  Thought I'd share, hopefully you'll also get an extra discount!

---------------------------------------
Sleep hacks
Start experimenting AND tracking what you do to see what improves your sleep.
Generally I pick three things to pay attention to.  If you have a wearable, then that will make it even easier.  I don't...

I asses how I feel in the morning
How I feel overall throughout the day
And how many times I woke up during the night.

But you pick what will work for you.  It is hard work to sleep hack or bio hack.  I recommend tracking it.

Start with what is easy for you or cheap.

Personally I would start with hydration, focusing on getting to maximum hydration earlier in the day.  If drinking enough water is hard for you, mix it up, with lemon water non carinated tea, ect...

Then get natural sunlight,  and or work out out side.

Take action towards your dreams.  You can do something everyday.  I know lots of us are very busy, but there are still things that you could squeeze into your day.  If the idea of this feels overwhelming, set up a free chat with me, and we'll come up with an action plan that works for you.
www.fulfilledandabundant.com/contact

From there look at your own life, what would be easy to modify or try out for a week.  There are so many sleep experts, and great books about sleep.

And if you are already looking for new sheets, try out these organic ones

Sending you love, and wishing you restorative sleep,

Good Bye Sugar,                                                                                          Hello Health, Productivity and Savings!

Lots of us know we should reduce or even eliminate our sugar intake... so.... why don't we?

Sugar and sweets are so incredibly addictive, and SO  common place.  Our society includes sugar loaded foods in all of our holidays, and its always the center of any get together.  Its so common place that a lot of people don't even know the food they are choosing has sugar in it!

I challenge you to eliminate sugar out of your life for at least 3 months, and you will be amazed at the progress that happens within your life!

I know how painful cutting out sugar can be.  For that reason I personally believe its better to do it over a period of time, for example three months, and to really focus on what you are increasing or replacing.  I do have a systematic approach to making these kind of diet changes.  That I am happy to share with you over a free Chat.

But if you do not want to work with me, there are tons of other people and resources.  Of course you can do it on your own, but with sugar, its much harder.

My journey:
I had massive gut issues, that were really a giant problem.  It really got in the way of me living, and even working.  It was pretty obvious to me that I could not tolerate sugar, as I would through up from even one bite of sugar, so that made me not want it.  BUT my body still craved it, for over a month, I still wanted sugar, and I considered myself a person that didn't eat sugar...

Except for the 5 spoons I added to my coffee every day,
oh year, and the chocolate when I went to the store,
and when I hung out with friends, I would indulge in the treat,
and the occasional juice that I really liked...

But I didn't eat sugar, haha!

I see this all the time!  Someone will tell me they don't eat sugar as they are drinking a diet coke, and if they caught my weird look at them, they would tell me there is no sugar in diet coke its aspartame, or stevia...  But its not their fault, there is intentional deceptive advertising, and the truth is often hard to find.  But it is there if you look.

Anything sweet flavor has sugar in it.

This includes fruits, and everything packaged.  All packaged products have sugar in them.  Sugar also serves as a preservative.

Once I did truly eliminate sugar from my life, I noticed some really awesome side effects!

I saved money while grocery shopping.
Less decision fatigue while shopping!
My skin got way better -  things that I just though were a part of how I am.
My gut issues improved significantly.
It was fairly easy to intermittent fast, which saved me time and money.
Its easier to be present, and go deeper in emotional work.
I became more in tune with my body - when I craved sugar, then I knew it was time to eat, rather that feeding the craving.
Lots of other benefits

The only way to learn truly how powerful eliminating sugar will be for you is to try it out!

Sending love,
Jessica

Manifesting!..... From a Bad Mood

5/23/2022

Did you know that its possible to manifest your desires no matter what mood you are it?

Yep!  You do not have to be is a great feeling state to attract your desires.  Although typically people are more accepting of receiving even more good things when they are already feeling great.  Don't limit yourself by believing it has to be that way.

I actually manifest a ton from a bad mood.  Because when I am in those places, of hopeless heart break, of feeling so angry people actually run away from me... I have no resistance.  I am so absorbed in the bad feeling that the next day or two the very biggest thing I had been wanting, shows up.  Just like that.  Its amazing!

Check out my article Dreams Come True.

So I encourage you to submit and completely feel however you are feeling.  Of course if you are feeling an intense emotion like rage, grief, or depression, please take the necessary steps to have loving support so that you do not harm yourself or anyone else, or cause more damage that might be difficult to repair later.  If this is you please set up a free chat, and we can create an action plan for you.

When you submit and allow yourself to completely feel the feeling something magical happens, some kind of integration or release happens, its amazing.  I want this for you too! Although it does take a lot of courage to completely feel grief or rage, or any other unpleasant emotion.  Hope you enjoy this video!

Enough Time

Today I just finished a call.  Before the call I decided I was going to go to the beach to ground and get some sun.
After the call, I thought about my day, and then I said “I don’t have the time” And I felt the weight of my fatigue get way worse right away.  I rationalized, maybe I can lay down on the balcony?  As I looked at the meters of the house, that are on my unit, that I know cause EMF’s (Electromagnetic Fields).

Where as, at the beach, I would be truly grounding, and there are no power lines around, and I know how delicious the energy is there… I started to stress out.  Seriously! What a dilemma, lol ;)
So, I sat down and asked my body and God, which one they wanted me to do.
Beach! Hands down.
So, I decided to go.  I got there, and it was delicious.  I felt my body melt right away.  I set up the blankets, laid down, baking in the sun <3

I could feel receiving the healing grounding energy from the earth, and the delicious hot infrared light from the sun (I was covered up because it was still cold.  But with a blanket over me, I was baking <3!!<3!!  And then I realized, this.  How dumb! It truly costs me a lot to not go ground at the beach.  I feel so recharged afterwards, and significantly happier, compared to being at home, trying to be productive, but actually take 2 naps, and not doing anything, except spinning my wheels.  And after returning from the beach, I felt recharged and inspired, which is actually more productive.  I know we all do this, and so some self-analysis is a good thing.

What does "not enough time" or money mean for that matter?  Seriously, I don't have the time to do something that I know is super good for my health and energy levels?  What???  The truth of that statement, when I really look at it, is actually "I am choosing to put importance on obligations, rather than what I know will nourish me, and support me for the things that matter in my life."

And yet, we all say that we don't have the time, or don't have the money to do something that we know would be really good for us.  Because of me catching myself I will be going to the beach way more often.  And now I know, when I say that phase, "ding ding, pay attention!!"
Also when you say you don't have the time or the money -to get out- of some situation, you are actually lying.  And the energetic cost of lying sticks with us for a while.  Where as if you said the truth "I don't want to" or "there are other priorities more important to me right now" you walk away with clarity, and feeling more empowered.  There is no internal questioning that happens.

What do you say you don't have the time for?

What do you or have you said you don't have the money for?

What is it costing you to pass those things up, and stay the same?

When we choose change, its powerful, uplifting, and brings in new possibilities that were not available to us before.  We we avoid change, it eventually comes crashing down on us, and feels horrible.  I have gone through both, several times :)  Its not to say any of us won't go through that again.  But it is beneficial to do some self analysis.  Choose the thing that will actually make your life richer <3

Sending love,
Jessica

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

As I wish you all a happy and reflective Earth Day, I remember going to my first meeting to help the earth, I was 11.  It was a group of girls led, by one girl that seemed to be pretty experienced.  We decorated magnets made out of the tin ends of concentrated juice.  Don't know if any of you remember those froze juice packs that came in a circular cardboard packaging, with tin end caps?  I don't even know what the name of that packaging is!

Anyway, as we celebrate Earth Day, I hope to inspire you to look at your own life.  What is one tiny thing that could make this planet a bit healthier?  PS, did you know improving your own health is in many many ways making the earth a bit healthier?  I think this is important to point out, because if the change we want to make actually makes our own life better, its usually much easier to stick with.  So here are some ideas:

Eliminate or reduce the amount of toxins in your personal care products.  I am sorry to say that many of our favorite brands of make up, or lotion, have some pretty toxic chemicals.  And there are many alternatives that are just as good!

Resources:
https://beautycounter.com/stacyrovener
https://beautycounter.com/the-never-list
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

Or you might choose to only eat what's local and in season.  Seeing that the weather is getting warmer, this should be quite delicious and easy to do.  How about eating 100% organic for at least a few months?  You could up level that, by also making sure your food as a Non-GMO Project verified label, a B crop Label, or a regenerative agriculture label (regen ag)

Maybe cancel your gym membership, and work out - outside?

Try composting

Choose to walk instead of drive...

Or just go to the beach and meditate, giving appreciation to natural beauty!

Here's a YouTube play list for more inspiration!

New Year, New Clarity, New Energy!

12/30/2021

Hello!
With the New Year, we will bring about New Level Clarity, and this will create awesome shifts, propelling you into your New Energy

This past series of Art of My Presence was so fun, each of us enjoyed our own and each others' up leveling   Many of us enjoyed speaking things into reality

What is up leveling?  I talk about it a lot, I am really passionate to support, facilitate and witness people's up leveling.  Up leveling is when we successfully achieve a new height that not too long ago was very uncomfortable.  It can look any number of ways, including more money, deeper connection with friends and family, ever more fulfillment in romantic relationships, new heights of happiness and a much higher percentage of your day...  It can be measurable and immeasurable.

Have you ever heard of the "upper limit"?  Gay Hendricks writes about it in "The Big Leap."  Many other coaches also talk about your "set point."  Your set point and your upper limit are basically the same thing, this invisible cap on how much good you are "allowed" or "capable" of experiencing.  It's all unconscious, and these "rules" or "upper limits" we have for ourselves can vary greatly from one topic to the next topic in any area of life.  The way to raise your set point or upper limit, is to consciously and intentionally work with it.  Intentionally getting as close as you can to that cap, and breaking though enough times so that it's your new normal.

It's totally possible to do this on your own, without the help of anyone else.  Go for it!!
Here is my YouTube channel for tons of ideas to up level on your own:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeb_DJFiSgI-e0U8y9vjvbg

BUT it's way easier and faster to raise your set point by working together with someone, and that is one of the things that we do during this class.  Though usually not directly addressed, your set point gets raised during each 5 week series, and many people love the results of up leveling that happens

This coming series we will be addressing up leveling set points directly, and seeing that it's the new year, we will focus on gaining clarity in several different areas of your life!  With the level of clarity that I will facilitate in you achieving very often a natural byproduct is pretty quick manifestation.

Come try out the free Introduction to Art of My Presence coming up!

The only thing you have to lose is outdated "set points;"
Let's raise the bar for yourself, and thus for all around you.  This makes the world a better place, one up level at a time

You do have to sign up for this free class, feel free to invite your friends, it's so fun to do this class together with those that you love.  I would be thrilled to see you!

Monday January 10th
3:00 - 5:00 pm PST

Men are welcome to join
Teens older than 14 are welcome to join.  Though if you are younger than 18, I would encourage you to have your guardian participate in the free class so that they can see what you are learning.
This work is very appropriate for anyone.

Celebration of my own Desired Manifestation

11/16/2021

Today I'd like to share my recent favorite celebration.

As someone that teaches people how to shift their energy so that they can manifest their desires, people often ask me "What have you manifested?"  And I go blank!  I forget, I am focusing so much on just staying present, and giving as much love as I can during interviews, that I forget my successes.  Why am I so focused on my own presence and holding love? Because that helps other people to reach for something more, even if they don't understand it, AND it helps all people manifest faster :)

Another thing about manifesting.  We can only manifest what we truly desire in our hearts, AND that we also believe is possible for us.  so each one of us manifests quite differently.

No judging yourself :)

My recent celebration is Elisabeth!  It sounds weird to say that I manifested Elisabeth.  She already existed before I knew her, lol.  Its our partnership, that we both manifested.  That's another thing: manifesting is a co-creation with the universe or the other pieces/people involved.  So if something is not happening "fast enough", it is possible that its not the right time for it, or that it does not want the same exact thing that you want, and so it will show up in a different way.  The acceptance of this truth as a potential of what is going on for you, will help to manifest it faster.

I was REALLY wanting marketing help.  But I really wanted someone that had already taken this course the Art of My Presence, for two reasons, and that they really loved the class.  Elisabeth has taken two of my classes, and she is very impressive with her ability to integrate, up level, and manifest, so its extra fun for me to have her in my class (selfishly :)

My two reasons for wanting someone to help me that had already taken the class and loved it, is I was struggling talking about the class, so I wanted someone that understood what it was through experience, and if they loved the work, it would be fun for them to talk about it, and do the marketing.  Another very important thing to me.

Then along came Elisabeth!  I really liked her personally, and made my offer, and she was excited too!

Now I can relax around marketing, which I really don't like doing.  This is such a giant weight lifted off me, and now I post, reach out to others when I feel like it, and the joy has returned.  Plus Elisabeth is amazing, so talking with her more often, just makes me more happy to have another really cool friend <3

When the subject of manifesting comes up, many people think of money, cool vacations, or luxury items, but that is not always the case.  I encourage you to take one of my classes to see what this work is all about.

If you are interested in this work but the time doesn't work out.  I have many friends that I went through the same certification program with The Awakened School, with Rachel Jayne Groover, that offer similar classes.  Just let me know and I will connect you to someone that offers the flexibility that suits your schedule.

A secret to faster manifesting, is to count all the times it did work out, or all the things you already have to celebrate.  SO!

What would you like to celebrate today?
Post below something you would like to publicly celebrate <3
Sending love,

Better and Better

Hello!

Today's article is inspired by the book I'm currently reading "YOU Are a Badass" by Jen Sincero and a little  conversation I had while flying.  On page 238 Jen Sincero is talking about setting honest goals.  This is something I already do, and what this blog is all about (feeling proud of myself, tehehe).  BUT this book has got me thinking "How can I make my life absolutely amazing?  What can I do in my life to literally spring out of bed?"  I know these questions are a forever work in progress...

BUT I asked the girls I'm working with, "what is something that you could do everyday that would make your life better?"  You never know, they may give me some great ideas or insight :)  One girl said she could purge something from her house every day.  I agreed, I can also do that, and I imagine it would make my life better as well.  The other girl said she could laugh more everyday.  I don't know why, but I grabbed her and started fake laughing, hahaha, it was only a matter of seconds before we both started really laughing.  Both of these girls did give me insight and ideas!

I too, could also use a little more laughter in my life, even if its fake laughing, and tossing something each day that no longer serves me would leave me physically lighter, ready for whatever new thing may serve me better, even if that just means more space :) and less to clean!

So what is something that you can do every day that would make your life better?

I would really love to hear from you!

Honoring Where You Are

7/25/2021

Hello!

Before continuing reading, take a few deep breaths.

How are you feeling right now?  Where are you with your energy?

So often we do not take stock of where we are at in any given moment.  Our to do list is ever expanding, does it grow on its own?? People need things of us, plus what about our goals??

Today I honored my energy level.  I was about to go out for a walk.  And I thought "I just don't want to."  The success was that I stopped and listened!  I said to myself "ok, what would I like to do" and I heard "yoga."  When I do yoga on the spot like that, I set up blankets outside, and do a yoga video, usually Yoga with Adriene :)

I found a video that felt right and enjoyed delicious yoga outside.  The routine was mostly laying down so I enjoyed doing most of the yoga video with my eyes closed.  I just completed my exercise, and I feel replenished.

I feel replenished because I honored myself, with where I was at!  How often do you check in with yourself and see where you are at through out the day?

How might it influence your day?

I can speak for myself, and I'm betting a lot of you ladies feel similarly.  My energy level fluctuates a lot.  So at any given point in the day, I may not have the energy for what I planned on doing at that time of day.  Yes, I am currently dealing with and healing very serious fatigue, but I know so many other women that complain of the same exact things, or worse, are actually diagnosed with an auto immune condition.

I want to encourage you, to check in with yourself several times through out the day, and see where you are at.  See what would make you feel best.  This is the easiest to do with what you eat, what you do for exercise, and the order of your to do list.

Just take a minute to breath deeply and see what would make you feel more whole next.  Or fill you up just a little bit more.  My personal goal is to be overflowing, as Lisa Nichols says.  I want my cup to be "so overflowing that I have more than enough to give you from my saucer".

Practice self love, do a 1 minute check in several times through out the day, and honor whatever arises.

Sending love, Jessica

Sugar and Money

5/4/2020

Hello!

Have you ever considered that what you eat might influence how to handle your money?    I believe that our diet massively influences all of our choices, including how we handle your money.  But the only way that you can know for sure; if how you eat influences your money habits, is to test it out, and see how your diet influences you.

More specifically I am talking about sugar.  Sugar is in so many things, and its incredibly addicting.   Sugar affects our health and happiness in all kinds of ways.  So if you'd like to test out this theory, I will share my experience, and how I cut out sugar.

Once I cut out sugar I had NO cravings,  which was amazing, and my skin got way better.  I noticed my allergies got a little better, I didn't have the constant congestion that I had grown used to, and just thought was normal, as well as many other things.  But my favorite was not having any cravings at all!

If you are going to embark on this experiment, have lots of compassion for yourself.  Cutting out sugar is not an easy thing to do.  You will "slip up" and that's ok, just get back up, and do your best.  If you keep trying to do your best it will naturally become easier and easier.  Here is what I did:

Keep a food journal.  Use google calendar or ical, or a little notebook.  This will be important for you to recognize any trends.  Its very hard to remember what you ate three weeks ago.  And record your successes!

Focus on breakfast.  Eating a huge meal in the beginning of the day is so much easier than at the end of the day.  Its when you naturally feel more ambitious that you will succeed.  Focus on eating high fat will keep the cravings away for longer.  If you eat bread and cereal then chances are you will be hungry again not long after.  High fat keeps you satiated for longer.  And you want to make sure to include something green in every meal.  I ate vegan keto for a while, its possible.  Things that are high fat and vegan are avocados, nuts, and coconut oil.  Its hard but it is possible.  I am not preaching vegan, I just want you to know that its possible.

And why high fat?  High fat will keep you more full for longer.  This is key in not craving sugar.  I'm not a doctor, but I believe that it helps to stabilize your blood sugar for longer.  I say this because I notice that when I do crave sugar its the first sign that I am getting hungry.  If I wait too long after that signal then I cave and eat something sugary.  Though this is really rare for me now.  And it just so happens that I am usually in the store at this time... that is when I will buy something I crave or want, and will rationalize before I even knew what happened.

Make sure you are fully hydrated.  I read somewhere that often we crave something because we are actually dehydrated.  Things that are hydrating is water, fresh squeezed juices, not store bought juices (though that's better than soda) and non-caffeinated tea.  Pay attention to your body and what makes you feel the best, as well as what is easiest for you to drink.  I love water, but I do notice that I drink way more water when I put a little something in it - an emergency packet, in a very large water bottle, a green juice supplement packet, a piece of fruit, mint...  If I do the packets, I will make them very diluted, so it almost tastes like nothing.  Also I think a water tracking ap is amazing, this really works for me.  There are plenty of free ones.

Compassion and Commitment.  These are both key to becoming completely sugar free.  You are not bad or did not make a mistake if you eat something sugary.  If you REALLY want that donut, eat it.  But be super conscious, really savor it, don't inhale it and then feel bad about yourself.  Do not go for the cold turkey approach.  I don't think this works with sugar.  It might work for you, but my process took me about 4 months before I was totally sugar free, and had no cravings.

I believe that eating high fat, lots of vegetables and drinking plenty of water are key to becoming sugar free.  But you could also slowly cut out some things.  You could eliminate sugar the last hours of the day, and slowly keep adding more hours.  For example.  No sugar after 8 pm, the next week, no sugar after 6 pm, then 4 pm, the 2 pm...  You could also do it a different way, maybe cut out all cakes, then all cookies, then all pastries, then all added sugar, then carbs, then alcohol...

Unfortunately carbs and alcohol turn to sugar when you eat them, so while doing the experiment, I would suggest to cut out both carbs and alcohol for a little while, so see how your body reacts.  And re-introduce it one at a time, again to see how your body reacts.

I think its much better to focus on what you want to add in, rather than resist.  For this reason I prefer to focus on eating high fat, lots of vegetables, and drinking lots of water instead of what you are trying to avoid.

So how will all of this benefit you financially?  You will see, it will be different for each of us.  But what you'll notice is a little more calm in your life, due to a more balanced blood sugar.  This will help with any extreme emotions like sadness, anger, anxiety, and stress in general.  We often make not as great decisions when we are in a stressed mood.  The desire is to feel better, for some of us spending money will perk up our mood.  Conversely, if in a stressed out mood, and you have to make a decision in that moment, you may not make the best decision.  Money can already be stressful for a lot of us, so we need everything we can to be supporting us.  You'll also notice your productivity go up, which could attract new opportunities!

And as far as food purchases go, you'll be spending your money on things that bring you greater health, once you have eliminated all cravings.  Greater health means more vitality, more life; and less medical bills!*  IF you have cut out sugar and you still have cravings, then most likely you are eating something that you are allergic to, or you might be depleted in a critical mineral.  You could do the fog map diet to figure it out.  You could also work together with a nutritionist.

*If you do have a lot of medical bills, and are looking to reduce them by changing your diet, a food journal or even a health journal is critical.  You'll want to include your overall emotional state, your hydration, maybe work with your doctor to have blood tests done.  Also make sure to record any natural sunlight you got each day, as well as exercise, and over all energy level.  Also any correlations that you think might be related.  Like if you saw someone that stresses you out, if you have mold in your home...  I believe making real change and seeing the results with medical bills will take at least a year, maybe a lot more, so this will take some commitment.

I hope that you enjoyed hearing about what worked for me to cut out sugar.  I love it.  I do not crave sugar at all, and I love that it saves me money!

Wishing you love, health and wealth!

Take that Flu! Soup

Hello!  Wishing you all healthy and vibrant!

I am reposting this so that this powerful soup can be more available to those that want to build up their immune system with nutrition.  One way to fight this virus.  I make this soup often.  As I eat it, I can feel it killing whatever was coming on.  It's SO easy, and tastes delicious.

This soup is simply:
Chicken Broth - I use chicken bone broth, because of the collagen boosting properties it has, but feel free to substitute vegetable broth or whatever broth suits you.
Spinach - I use frozen spinach because of the convenience of always having veggies handy in the freezer.
Mushrooms
Celery
Garlic  - Load on the garlic!!!!!

Season to taste - Of course I use salt and pepper, a little oregano tastes great too.
Olive Oil - I add the olive oil after the soup is cooked.

I put it all in a blender before cooking it, then cook it after it's all blended.  This soup takes about 5 minutes to make, so when you are very weak from being sick, this soup takes very little effort.   And it costs roughly $5, make it cheaper by diluting the broth with water.   Originally I began making this soup to heal my gut, and it works fantastic for that, but when I noticed it also boosted my immune  system, this inspired me to share it with you.

I use organic everything, I believe that makes a difference.  I find this soup is very healing, and hydrating. Modify by adding whatever vegetables you want!

Stay healthy,
Jessica

Hello!

For those of you that have health goals, or want to enjoy a delicious meal, for a reasonable price here's a new recipe!

*This salad will only be this cheap if you already regularly use these things.  Of course it will become more expensive if you buy higher quality ingredients too.  But its restaurant quality delicious!

First I cook the shrimp in garlic and salt.  I like the wild frozen shrimp from trader joe's, simply because of how convenient it is to keep frozen shrimp in my freezer.  If you are vegan leave this part out, or add tempeh or tofu.  Once the shrimp is cooked, I leave in off in the pan, and simply add it to the top when finished with everything.

Half shredded cabbage and half parsley & cilantro.  I use the shredded cabbage mix from trader joe's, and fresh parsley and cilantro.  Can you tell I love trader joe's?

Walnuts
Black sesame seeds  - I put a lot.
A whole  Avocado - I love avocado, I think they are the best.

The dressing is Mayonnaise, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and a little honey.  I actually don't measure it, I make the dressing to taste.  But its roughly one tablespoon (or as I would say a big spoon) of mayonnaise, two tablespoons of rice vinegar and sesame oil, and a baby spoon (or a cappuccino spoon) of honey.  I modify to taste, so it never turns out exactly the same, so be sure to test it before serving!

I don't cook by measurements, even when I'm following a recipe, but there it is!  This salad is delicious, and so high in fat it can be its own meal!  This salad is keto, mostly plant paradox friendly, and very easily vegan.  To make it plant paradox friendly, you'd have to make your own mayo only with olive oil, and to make it vegan, you can buy a vegan mayo, I think it's called vegenese.  OR!  You could blend olive oil, along with pine nuts, cilantro, sesame oil, rice vinegar and avocado, if  I did this, I would also add a touch of tamari or soy sauce.  The avocado and the pine nuts would give it that thick mayo consistency.

This meal would be MUCH cheaper than going out to a restaurant, and I think most kids would like it, since it's a little sweet.

Enjoy better health while saving those dollars!

Smoothies! A trick to sneak in more veggies!

Hello!

Have you ever felt frustrated with the idea of trying to get your kids to eat more fruits and veggies?  I know it can be tough with kids, they decide they don't like something, and even though they've never tried it now they get sick at the sight of it... interesting?  I know I've taken care of many kids that are like that.  And I was the worst when I was a kid myself!

But I've never met a kid that didn't like smoothies.  Smoothies can be a fantastic way to sneak in some extra veggies, or it could even be a fun activity to do together.  From my experience its really fun to let kids take ownership, and let them pick which recipes they would like to make for you.  You could even make a chart and record which ones they liked the most, trying a new one each day.  Because I'm not so familiar with how to make a smoothie equally healthful as delicious I like to follow a recipe.  Currently I am following the recipe book that come when you buy the Nutri Ninja, but you can also look up different recipes online or turn to many other books.  A book that I really like and will be borrowing from my mom is Supperfood Smooties by Julie Morris.  Her recipes look very interesting, and its a beautiful book sure to entice anybody into wanting a delicious and healthy smoothie.

While I am a novice when it comes to incorporating veggies into a smoothie,  I do know that adding green peas are a great source of protein and won't take away from the typical sweet taste of a smoothie.  And adding one or two leaves of kale will go unnoticed, except for the color to boost the nutritional intake.

May you enjoy as many colorful smoothies equal to the colorful spring flowers!

Keto-licious Vegan Salad

2/3/2020

Hello!

I just want to share my delicious salad I'm enjoying.  I have become pretty passionate about finding keto vegan meals ever since I discovered how much of a GIANT deal getting enough fat plays in my life.  I was vegan for a long time.  99% vegan, I still ate eggs and if I really wanted it, I would eat seafood, which ended up being about once a month.  When I, out of nowhere, could tolerate almost nothing.  I called my close friend crying because I honestly thought I was dying.  Probably a little dramatic, but I felt like I was becoming allergic to everything.  At its worst, I would only know if I could eat that thing or not if I threw up or not.  It was horrible and caused a ton of anxiety.

Then I did a lot of research, and deduced that I had gut dysbiosis, that I am still healing from.  I self diagnosed BECAUSE my doctor said "you know, you are getting older" when complaining about chronic fatigue, that I felt like I was becoming allergic to more and more things, that my joints were hurting...  I've said this before, but it was Dave Aspery (preaching high fat) and Dr. Steven Gundry, his book The Plant Paradox, that gave me immediate relief.  SO now I eat giant salads with a lot of Avocado, and usually some protein.  My priority when I eat now is fat and vegetables.  I cannot tell you how much this has helped me.  So this is why I love telling my story because there are lots of people that suffer from similar extremely hard to pinpoint issues.

And the benefits of eating high fat help out your wallet too.  I only eat two meals a day now, because that is all I crave.  I save a lot of money and time, compared to before where I would eat all day long, and often get so hungry that the second I left the house I would have to buy food.  Often when I would go out to eat I would buy two full meals, spending $50 usually, which was too much for me to spend, but I didn't want to be shaking hungry the rest of the night.  But I usually bought something again later anyway.  My friends would complain about how much I ate.

SO!  Here is my delicious salad!  I hope you try it out, and enjoy!

Salad mix
Sesame Seeds - Just look up the nutrition sesame seeds provide, holy cow!
Pecans (substitute or add different nuts that you like)
Ground Flax Seeds - A good source of vegan omega 3's
A lot of guacamole, sometimes I just do avocado.  Now I have guacamole in my home at all times.
An entire lime
Lots of olive oil
Add cilantro or Parsley for an even bigger nutritional bang!

This salad is delicious, for the most part allergen free (for most common allergens), keto and vegan.

Bon Appetit!

Organizing with Everyday Items

11/11/2019

Hello!  My Organizing side would like to share some cheap and quick tips to get your home into a more fulfilling state.

I'd like to share something that I use in my home or when helping friends that want to be more organized without spending too much money.  I go to the Kitchen!  Yes, the pantry :)  I have found that using clear zip-lock bags, jars, or cute tins are a very easy, cute, and cheap solution to help you get organized immediately.  There is no need to wait until you have the time to go to the store.  You can just start right now.  Then when you do have the time or money to go buy the cute boxes and containers that you really want it will be a very quick switch.

I love zip-lock bags because they are sturdy and easy to group.  And we almost all have them in our homes.  I'll put things like extra electrical cords, for example past cell phone chargers, in one bag.  Maybe thumb tacks in another small bag, and clips in another bag.  If they all go in the same area, I'll put all of those in a larger zip-lock bag.  The other reason zip-lock bags are great is the variety of size.  They can accommodate almost anything.  And you can group things easily.  Then when things get chaotic again... I know its hard to keep things perfect all the time... that item you are looking for is easy to find.  There is no need to open up all the bags or boxes to find it!  When I am helping out a friend, this is a very fast way to organize, and I don't need to explain too much since its all visible right there.

I love jars.  Mason jars have been popular for a while, and I just love them, they bring a lot of character into any space.  Personally they remind me of my grandma canning, and being on their ranch in east Washington (state).  So there is the added benefit of a fond memory.  But with jars or tins; its easy to separate things and still have it look cute.  For example I will put pencils and pens in a jar so that I can leave it out.  If its in the bathroom, I will organize my jewelry in a shallow dish/tin/jar.  Really anything that would work better for me in a container.  For example I found a square tupperware container that fits perfectly in my top drawer.  I use q-tips a lot, so  I put my q-tips in there, now its always easy, and I love it.

Hope these clear solutions bring some ease into your home

Filling your Own Cup

11/4/2019

Hello!

Today's article is inspired from personal experience and an ongoing conversation with fellow organizing friends. So how on earth does filling up your cup have to do with organizing your home??? AND what is filling up your cup? When I began on this journey of intentionally filling up my own cup that is exactly what I asked: WHAT (very frustrated) is filling up your own cup??? And how do you do that? For those of you that have heard this phrase before and understand what that means, yay! For those of you that are as frustrated about this concept as I used to be, the following are some ideas and resources, along with my personal understanding. Much love <3

So what is filling up your own cup? Another way to say it could be self care, the act and commitment of being self loving, doing things to make yourself happy without the participation or permission from anybody else. At the beginning of my (conscious) journey, I thought that love was "you make me happy, I make you happy;" but I was continually let down, and this did spiral downward, to a very painful emotional state. When I learned about "filling up your own cup" either from Lisa Nichols, or Teal Swan, and began to practice, I found myself feeling much more fulfilled, and less angry at the friends and family in my life for "letting me down". This can spill over into all areas of your life, especially how organized your home is or not. Personally it did affect how "clean" my home was and how much energy I had during the day.... to clean my place was an item on my to do list. I can say that when you continuously do not get to the things you want to accomplish, checked off, it does eat at you, for a couple reasons. One - things have physical energy. When there is mess or clutter, that is a physical manifestation of stagnant energy which drains you weather you are woo woo or not. The other - is self judgement, who knows what the story you have in your head is, but I know mine, was along the lines, of I am not a successful adult. Its hard to describe because it literally doesn't make sense when I try to remember my automatic thoughts. These thoughts of self judgement are incredibly draining. For you, it could just be simple a matter of you not having enough time, and having an organized home is not the top priority. The effects of not filling up your own cup can be endless, and so can the various things to fill up your cup. So I would encourage you to pause right now, and look at your typical habits and how it contributes to your happiness level.

Pause
Take a moment to reflect on yourself.
How is filling up your own cup or not affecting you?
What can you do to fill up your own cup even more?

Here are some ideas that could start you in the direction of filling your own cup for more life <3
Try an experiment where you commit to this practice for at least a week, jot down anything you notice.

1. Take time to prepare a delicious and nutritious mean, sit down and savor it.

2. Spend time outside. Enjoying the view of nature and getting natural sun light does something to the chemicals in our bodies and brings us back to alignment with health. I wish I could site the sources, but its been stated in so many different professions, from psychology, societal domestic violence, prosperity and abundance practices, spirituality, health... Just try it and notice how you feel.

3. Meditate. If you think you don't know how to meditate, go to YouTube and look up a meditation video of any time length you desire and try it out.

4. Yoga, or walking can be a form of moving meditation.

5. Do something creative. If you think you are not creative just scribble on paper, that is extremely gratifying. Sometimes I love to just color the paper a particular color, to experience that color, its very fun :) That is also using color therapy.

6. Take a nice bath.

7. Get a massage.

8. Get a haircut or a make over! These feel like massages to me.

9. Read something uplifting or funny.

10. Watch or listen to something funny. Listening to comedians has definitely pulled me out of low spells.

11. Call a friend.

12. Clean your house, hire an organizer, a house cleaner, or set a timer.

13. Exercise, just move, if its too cold to leave the house put on some music and rock out, or check out my favorite YouTube dance channel Revfit. Physically getting your blood moving gives you more energy, and helps your blood to deliver nutrients and clean out waste.

14. Drink more water, if you think you may be chronically dehydrated use a water tracking ap. I thought I was fully hydrated, and decided to try out an ap, just to test myself, and I was falling short, that meant I was chronically dehydrated. It made a difference!

15. Ask your self: "what can I do right now to fill my cup?"
"what can I do right now that would make me even happier?"
"what can I do right now that would make me feel loved?"
"what would make me feel even more fulfilled right now?"
Any other question that feels good to ask will work. Make sure its an action that you can do that second. This is perfect for when you are feeling indecisive. You can apply this to which way you drive, what you eat for dinner, what you choose to buy at the grocery store, how you dress that morning...

16. Write "I love you" or some other affirmation on your water and/or on your mirrors, especially our bathroom mirror. I have "I love you" decals on my zero water filter and my bathroom mirror, I love it!

17. If this concept is frustrating or overwhelming, I recommend the book "Shadows Before Dawn" by Teal Swan. This book helped me quite a bit. You can buy it on Amazon, and probably Barns and Nobel.

18. What is something that you love, but never find the time to do? Do that first thing in the morning.

19. Fake laugh, I'm sorry laughter is such wonderful medicine. Just talking about fake laughing is making me laugh. Fake laughter can be just as good as the real thing. I dare you to try it with some friends or family, and see if you can keep from laughing hysterically.

20. Let it all out, write it out, talk it out, or punch it out. Find an outlet you enjoy and let'er rip!

21. Do something nice for somebody else.  You don't even have to know them.  It feels awesome to buy  somebody a meal, or pay for the persons' coffee behind me.

So you've read the entire article this far and you are wondering what filling you cup has to do with organizing? Well Organizing, 9 times our of 10 is not about the stuff. Usually its about something else going on. While it may be overwhelming to address the actual issue head on, it is MUCH easier to build yourself up so that you have the strength to deal with the core issue. Organizing is interesting though, on one hand our things can trigger something we may have been avoiding but also simply clearing the physical clutter and, getting your house in order, in a way that best supports you, can be such a big weight lifted off, that your entire life gets better. I have seen this in my own life, and in the lives of several clients. And that is what I love about organizing.

So here's your your best life, where your are so full that you are overflowing, and can't help but give!

Love, Jessica

Upgrade your beauty and save money

Hi Beauties!

I wanted to share one of my secrets that I have been doing for years.  I get complimented on my hair almost every day.  Keep it coming!  I LOVE every single compliment, even though I've heard it before.  I take really good care of my hair.  This has evolved to several other areas of beauty and skin care.  If I can save you money AND get your skin & hair to be even more glowing, giving away the secret is worth it!

So... What is the secret?  I put olive oil in my hair before I wash it, every time.  That's it.  Sorry, not that climactic.  Olive oil is so good for us in general, but putting it on your hair gets those nutrients exactly where you want them!  I don't know the science behind it, but I can tell you my hair is really healthy.  Its the same thickness from the root to the end, and sometimes my hair strand is 2 feet long.  My hair stylist says, what ever you're doing keep it up!

What are the other benefits of taking care of your hair in this way?  Well literally its cheaper than the hair masks you buy in stores.  One $16 (Costco) bottle of olive oil has lasted me about a year.  Most hair masks are about $5-$8, and at most have about 4 uses.  So you would have to buy that same product once a week if you used it the same amount.

Here's the math:  $5 x 52 weeks = $260

Compared to Olive oil, I buy the Spanish Olive oil from Trader Joe's because I don't have a Costco card any more.  So lets round up and say I use one bottle of $8 TJ's olive oil and I go through it once a month which would be using A LOT.

$8 x 12 months = $96

So even just based on math alone, literally olive oil is cheaper.  But there's also the massive benefit that you are drastically reducing the amount of toxins you are exposed to if you use olive oil, which eventually will help you out health wise later on in life, and probably contribute to lower medical bills.

The other thing I do is I use coconut oil as my lotion.  I don't use regular lotion, it has been years since I converted to coconut oil.  And my skin feels so much better.  The way that I use it is in the shower or bath.  Its so delicious in a bath, just drop a blob in, and let yourself soak in the nourishing moisture.  Or in the shower, when I'm done I rub it all over before drying off.  My skin feels great all day long and I don't need lotion.  The interesting thing about this is that the skin is our single largest organ.  Just like eating; what ever we put on our skin gets absorbed into our body.  Questioning my logic?  How about those progesterone creams that we can have prescribed to regulate our hormones?  How about the nicotine patch?  Or the birth control patch?  All of these are administering medication through the skin.
Like I mentioned above (olive oil), you get the added benefit of removing toxins from entering your body, and replacing it with the nutrients of coconut oil.  If you want your coconut oil to smell  really good, add some essential oil.  My favorite for the bath is lavender or melaleuca (tea tree).

Just one warning, it does make your bathtub/shower floor quite slippery, so be careful.  I have almost slipped before.  (If you decide to try out these ideas I cannot be held responsible for any injuries or results of trying out what I do in my own life)

PLUS!  Coconut oil, when put on the skin becomes anti microbial, so if you have a cut or rash it helps to kill any bacteria.  I learned this from Barbra O'neil, an incredible Health Director of the Misty Mountain Health Retreat in Australia, and she has a retreat center in the US too, Living  Springs Retreat.  When I learned about this fun fact, my habits of how I was already treating my skin made sense.  I have eczema, and when I eat something I am not supposed to and begin to break out, I double up on the coconut oil, and put it on my skin every time I think about it (at least once an hour) and after a day my rash is cut in half at the very least, usually its gone when I am good about keeping my skin well hydrated in coconut oil.

Although its not possible for me to measure the long term gain you would get from switching your beauty products to food, I can tell you that I see a difference in myself, and other people notice too.  Not to mention the up front immediate savings.  Try it for one month and see what you think.

If you are interested in switching your entire beauty regiment to reduce or eliminate toxins, check out this website:

https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

I have done my best to get all of my products as low as I can get, now the highest rating of any product I have in my house is a 3, and I do see a difference.  My skin is better, one friend commented that I do actually look like I am getting younger (thank you!).  I never get headaches anymore, and my periods for the most part are better.  Although some of my products are quite a bit more expensive than what I used to use.  Ultimately that decision will come back to your values.  Do you value cheap and good enough for now?  Or more expensive, but an investment in your health and overall well being?

Sending Love, Health and Radiance!
