Money for Thought: Blog

Hello!  And Welcome to Money for Thought.

A blog hoping to inspire you to create more abundance in your life.  Whether that is though simple saving ideas, or inspiring you to reach for more.  You'll see all kinds of topics on here; some of my passions include health, cooking, travel, children,  personal habit hacking, authenticity, organizing, and making life a bit more streamlined.

Some articles may not necessarily directly link to money, but in a backwards round about way I promise all articles and posts will relate to money.  If there is a particular topic you would like me to write about send me an e-mail: creativelyjessica@gmail.com;

Journaling to Recharge

Hello Abundant Friends!

Last night I got the intuition hit that I need to write everyday. So you will begin to see a lot more posts.  I may not necessarily write on here, but for sure my frequency is going to increase.

So yesterday I felt HORRIBLE.  I wondered if I had the corona virus, I didn't.  Literally I experienced the worst allergic reaction I have ever heard of.  I went to Sacramento and I already knew I get bad allergies in Sacramento, my skin itches, so bad everywhere, that I want to rip off my skin.  Anybody that knows what the beginning of an eczema breakout feels like, it feels like that but all over, especially on the places you cannot scratch.  But this time, I could feel these allergens going into my body via the path of itchiness that developed on the inside of my throat, then that went into my muscles and bones.  Holy cow it hurt.  But thanks to my "take that flu" soup, I'm 90% better after one day.

I am disappointed that I had to cancel a client, but there is no way I would have been able to deliver with her today.

So yesterday I did nothing.  And I am proud of myself for that!  Its quite hard for me to not do anything.  I enjoyed a movie, read, snuggled.  It was wonderful.  I had to let it be wonderful :)   All I have been eating is some variation of my "take that flu" soup, with chicken broth and spinach minimum.  And today I'll accomplish some things, but not going to push it.  And keeping my promise to follow my guidance that showed up, by writing.

When you need to recharge follow you body and what it says.  On the practical side, drink lots of water, and then drink more.  Treat your body like it is sick, and eat foods that you know are clean and feel good to eat; that feel physically good, like nourishing, when its in your stomach, not emotionally good.  Sugar will deplete you.  For me that is chicken broth, but for you it may be something different.  At first when I started eating chicken broth, I really didn't like the taste, and thought it was kind of gross to eat, but I could feel the immediate nourishment.  If you can try to pay attention to what nourishing feels like to you.  This will lead you towards more energy.  Get the blood flowing.  Even though I was exhausted I did still go for a little walk, because I knew that would help.  It did.  Those are mostly universal things to recharge.

Now here is what I do to recharge, and see if it works for you, it might not.  You may have different things.
+Art, just playing and being creative
+Meditation.  I like to call it sleepitating, because most of the time I meditate lying down, and often fall asleep.
+Water.  I have to drink A LOT of water, but also being in water, looking at water.  Part of my need for water is my spiritual upgrade.  And that is also probably why I have become more sensitive.
+Reading.  I love reading.
+Yoga.  I do short yoga videos, that usually helps
+And yes doing nothing.  BUT I have to let it be ok to do nothing.  If I try to do nothing, and don't let it be ok, and keep repeating my growing list of to do items, I will just get stressed out.  What helps me with that, is to take things 10 minutes at a time.  Very often I will spend my entire day, just 10 minutes at a time.  I set my times and decide what I would like to do for these next 10 minutes.  This is so helpful and recharging to me.
+Pampering.  Who doesn't love pampering.
+Being seen.  This maybe an abstract concept to some of you.  But this is incredibly powerful.  And also somewhat out of my control.  What is in my control is to choose people that are in my life, and look for new people, that I can be vulnerable with, let all my hoopla hang out, and it is taken in by them, and validated.  There is no judgement, there is no harsh reaction.  Or even any reaction at all, except for understanding and compassion.  A giant part of why I love to write is that I feel I am being seen.  That I am expressing my true self.  I think I am not alone, that I don't feel like very many of my family can see me.  See me as in take in all that I am and not have a reaction when things aren't going great.  Several people in my family are "fixers"  and when things are bad they need to "fix" my life.  This is so detrimental to me, basically it was telling me how its not ok for feel like that.  And so unfortunately I learned really well how to be invisible.  So finding people that can take you in is very important.  And minimizing the time with people that cannot "truly see" you.

I will continue to grow my own list.  But I hope some or many of these work to recharge you.  I'd love to know what else recharges you?

Sending love, Jessica
